Tips for taking kids to an Indianapolis Colts game

It’s officially football szn, and taking your kids to an Indianapolis Colts game is definitely on the must list. Games are incredibly family-friendly, and offer a perfect balance of entertainment and fun for all ages. Here are just a few things to know as you prep…

Here are our top tips for taking kids to an Indianapolis Colts game:

1. Children 24 months and under get in free.

True story! Children ages 24 months and younger do not need tickets to attend Colts games at Lucas Oil Stadium when accompanied by a parent or guardian. In fact if it’s their first Colts game, make sure to stop at Guest Services for a commemorative “My First Game” pin and certificate. More details.

2. Keep kids safe: Child wristbands are available.

During game days at Lucas Oil Stadium, guests can request child-parent wristbands, including the guest's name, seat location and a preferred phone number to be contacted if the child is lost. Guest Services kiosks with these in stock are located at:

  • Street Level, southeast corner near Section 121

  • Street Level, southwest corner near Section 135

  • Club/Log Level, southwest corner adjacent to Section 330

  • Terrace Level, northwest corner by elevator lobby across from Section 519

  • Terrace Level, southeast corner by elevator lobby across from Section 545

3. Buy a kids meal for $8.

Colts Kids Meals are available at select concession stands throughout the stadium. The meals include a commemorative Colts cup and drink, hot dog, apple slices, string cheese, and free Colts arm sleeves – all for just $8. Kids' Meals can be purchased at Concession Stands outside sections 108, 124, 148, 331, 513 and 540, as well as the East & West Club Street Grill.

4. Have a kiddo nervous in new places? Do an advanced tour of Lucas Oil Stadium.

Lucas Oil Stadium offers public tours on Fridays that last approximately 75 minutes and include the field, an NFL locker room, press box, and numerous other unique areas that are typically inaccessible to the public (depending on availability). Prices start at $12; ages 3 and under are free. Book yours.

Don’t have time for a tour? Make your own on game day - explore the front lobby of Lucas Oil Stadium where race cars are on display, peek the view from a different part of the field, or grab coloring books and crayons from a Guest Service kiosk.

5. There are nursing accommodations if you want them.

Lucas Oil Stadium has three Mamava stations onsite for nursing (or pumping) if you prefer a private location during stadium events. The suites are self-contained, mobile pods with comfortable seating, a fold-down table, interior lighting, an electrical outlet, a USB port and a door that can be locked for privacy. The pods are located at:

  • Street Level, southwest corner near Section 132.

  • Street level, northeast corner outside of Sections 108-110.

  • Terrace Level, southeast corner outside of Sections 518/619.

In addition, the Mother's Room is another private lactation spot on the Loge Level near Sections 307/407.

Nursing parents are also welcome to bring breast pumps in to Lucas Oil Stadium. While they are not subject to the clear bag policy, they will be subject to search at entry.
