Viewing Spots, Parties, and Events:

1.The Indianapolis Public Library

From informative presentations and educational workshops to engaging activities for all ages, there is something for everyone at the the Indianapolis Public Library! Be sure to check individual branches for details!

2. Indianapolis Motor Speedway:

Join IMS and NASA for a day filled with exciting programming, including a STEM symposium, exhibits, a data balloon launch, autograph sessions with NTT INDYCAR SERIES drivers and astronauts, and an NTT INDYCAR SERIES car taking demonstration laps, making this a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won't want to miss!

3. Strawtown Koteewi Park

The Taylor Center of Natural History is hosting a Moon Market at Strawtown Koteewi park, where vendors will offer celestial-themed goods for purchase. Attendees can also enjoy eclipse-themed crafts, an educational display, and receive approved safety glasses, a reserved lawn spot, and the option to tailgate.

4. Cool Creek Park

Live entertainment, educational speakers, crafts, activities, food vendors, sponsor interactions, and a free kid zone. Pre-registration is required, with registered attendees receiving eclipse-viewing safety glasses.

5. Clay Terrace

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to the lawn behind Kona Grill! There will be live band performances, face painters, a "moon" bounce, a selfie station, food trucks, eclipse information stations, activities for children, and more! Registration is required and all attendees will receive approved eclipse-viewing safety glasses

6. The Eiteljorg Museum

On Sunday, April 7th, the Eiteljorg is hosting an afternoon of eclipse-themed programming from 12-5. Catch a special screening of "Star Wars: A New Hope" in Diné (Navajo) language with English subtitles at 2 p.m., followed by captivating eclipse stories shared by storyteller Perry Ground (Turtle Clan member of the Onondaga Nation of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy)at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Programming included with museum admission.

7. Montrose Farms Alpaca Ranch

Meet the alpacas! Join in the fun at Montrose Farms Alpaca Ranch from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and witness the eclipse at this group-friendly attraction. Admission is $5.

8. Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library

Join in the celebration titled "A Big Eye in the Sky.” The event features a community fair, literary entertainment, and a book discussion of "The Cold Millions" by Jess Walter as part of our NEA Big Read programming. Secure your spot and receive a free copy of the book, along with NASA-approved viewing glasses!

9. Buck Creek Winery

Enjoy the eclipse with a beautiful view and fine wine! For only $30, you'll receive 2 viewing glasses, 2 glasses of wine, and 2 Buck Creek Winery logo glasses as souvenirs. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs as picnic tables are limited. Secure your tickets as supplies will be limited.

10. Beasley’s Orchard

From 10am-5pm, bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and loved ones to the farm, where you can indulge in games, music, food trucks, and more while eagerly anticipating the eclipse. Remember this historic event with a pre-ordered commemorative t-shirt, and rest assured that all guests will receive a pair of complimentary eclipse glasses.

11. The Rejoicing Vine

Celebrate the eclipse at the Rejoicing Vine viewing party from 1pm to 5pm. For just $50 per car or pick-up truck, you'll receive certified eclipse viewing glasses, parking, live music, light appetizers, and exciting activities for kids. No outside alcohol is allowed, but outside food is permitted.

12. W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park

There will be a special program at W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park at 2 p.m. After the program, everyone is encouraged to stay and watch the eclipse together. Guests can find their preferred spot in the park to enjoy the mesmerizing show. As an added bonus, the first 750 park guests will receive complimentary certified eye protection glasses!

13. The Vogue:

Where you been, Loca? Join the epic Team Edward vs Team Jacob Eclipse Party! Get ready to embrace your inner werewolf or vampire under the dazzling disco ball at Twilight, where special guest DJs will fuel the night with thrilling beats. With headphones on, dance to the DJ battle while enjoying the Twilight saga playing in the background, interactive activities, photo opportunities, drink specials, contests, and much more.

14. White River State Park

Experience the once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse festival "LUNACY!" for free at White River State Park! With a variety of programing and activities, including food trucks with signature eclipse-themed items, free yoga classes, a river adventure, a relaxation zone, and more, there's something for everyone.

15. Indiana State Museum

Celebrate with hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and collaborative art at the museum. Don't miss the chance to watch the eclipse on the front lawn or enjoy a live stream indoors, followed by exploring the museum galleries to see a real moon rock and other space-related activities. Register by April 5 to secure your spot for this stellar experience!

16. Newfields

Experience the Total Eclipse of the Art at The Garden in Newfields! With live music performances, DJs, fire performers, food and beverage vendors, and a historic venue, celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime experience in style. Limited General Admission tickets are available, so come early to enjoy the festivities and explore the Indianapolis Museum of Art, including admission to THE LUME Indianapolis featuring Dalí Alive.

17. Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park

Race to the Eclipse with a 5K run/walk for a fee, live entertainment by a local band, children’s activities and two nitro dragsters speeding down the track at 300 mph when total darkness ensues!

18. Hendricks Live!

Experience the Eclipse Live! Explore the arts center event space and the outdoor terrace, where artistic and educational activities await guests of all ages. 

19. Conner Prairie Eclipse Festival

Conner Prairie is throwing the ultimate sky-gazing shindig! We're talking a full-on festival vibe with live shows that'll have your toes tapping, experts ready to spill all the cool space deets, and, free eclipse glasses.

20. IKEA Fishers
Join in the fun from 12pm-4pm where attendees will be able to watch the solar eclipse, receive free eclipse glasses, enjoy food samples, enjoy giveaways, and more! *Offer valid only at IKEA Fishers; Must pre-register and show proof of IKEA Family membership to participate and receive solar eclipse viewing glasses.
