Meet our CityMoms :: July 2018 edition

theCityMoms may be a community built for moms, but we wouldn't be a community without the moms in it. To celebrate and honor them, we launch a new feature on the blog this month: "Meet our CityMoms: A spotlight on three CityMoms members."

Here are the incredible gals we'd like you to meet this July 2018:

Meet Lee Ann Robertson… a returning CityMom!

When I am not busy mothering Ellee, 6; and Isabelle “Izzy,” almost 5, you can find me working out, cleaning house, trying to find a minute with my husband or hiding in my bathroom taking a long, hot shower.
My perfect day with the family is playing outside when the weather is nice enough; riding bikes, playing softball or relaxing- watching movies together. And ending our day with a dance party, of course!
My perfect day to myself (dare to dream!) is seriously just a completely quiet house ALL TO MYSELF with no agenda. I would sit and watch romantic comedies or HGTV all day. (Is that sad?)
In another life, instead of being a Senior Credentialing Coordinator/Team Lead, I am a full time advocate for the underprivileged; traveling the country (possibly the world) to hear their stories and bring awareness. Giving out free hugs to everyone.
My mommy superpower is multi-tasking. Sometimes I’m even amazed at how many things I can do for multiple people, at once.
Why did you join theCityMoms? I originally became a CityMom in 2014. I joined back then because I wanted to get the special discount for Whale of a Sale that was being offered at that time. That was my first “meetup”! But I loved that there were lots of events for moms only + the private member Facebook page is such a supportive place for us mommas.

Meet Jordan Kinsler... a CityMom for 5 months

When I am not busy mothering Parker, my 19 month old, you can find me at work during the week in my HR job, helping people with their health & fitness, hanging out with my husband, daughter and 2 dogs, working out, cooking and finding new recipes, enjoying some libations, reading a new personal development book, finding deals at my favorite consignment and retail stores, and exploring the city when I can since I've only lived in Indiana for 4 years!
My perfect day with the family is driving up to Michigan to explore new sights, restaurants and just be by the water!
My perfect day to myself (dare to dream!) would be going on a girls trip (does that count?) to Napa/Sonoma!
In another life, instead of being a an HR professional, I am traveling the world, enjoying the outdoors and eating and drinking my way around restaurants and homes. Can that be a job? :)
My mommy superpower is getting my workouts in every morning and being that inspiration to my daughter! You have to take care of yourself first to be the best mom you can be!
Why did you join theCityMoms? I became a CityMom because I love hearing about and going to all of the different events around the city for me and my daughter. I look forward to making friendships and having fun!

Meet Mary Graham... a CityMom for 4 years!

When I am not busy mothering Elliott and Harper, you can find me obsessively reading books, writing things on the internet, teaching high school English, reluctantly running, or at a friend's kitchen table laughing (and eating).
My perfect day with the family begins as we wake up early (I'm an early riser, I know. I'm sorry.) from another night in our camper, nestled somewhere in a national park. We spend the unhurried day hiking, playing, napping, and swimming. For dinner, we leave the park for a nearby small town to grab some delicious dinner I don't have to cook, maybe a Mexican restaurant with a margarita drink special. After dinner, we take a walk around main street as the sun sets and, once back at the campsite, we light a fire, my kids go to bed, and I snuggle under a blanket reading a good book as I sit next to my husband.
My perfect day to myself (dare to dream!) is spent wandering New York City. I bring my laptop to write in little coffee shops, I explore bookstores, eat at Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles in Chinatown for lunch and dinner, find treasures at thrift shops, and then end the night with chocolate cake from Two Little Red Hens on the Upper East Side.
In another life, instead of being a teacher, I am a full-time writer.
My mommy superpower is offering my children a safe place to land always and forever. AND... my ability to pretend I didn't hear you say "Mommy" ten times while I was busy doing something.
Why did you join theCityMoms? I joined the CityMoms because I felt like I was too busy with work and babies to be social like I wanted and theCityMoms literally put a calendar in front of me and said, “Join us!” As an introvert, that’s so helpful to me.
