#WCW: Nina Criscuolo

Any momma-to-be who has had her pregnancy announced by a third party can totally relate to this week’s #WCW! However, … most don’t have their news broadcast on live TV! Meet Nina Criscuolo,a reporter for WISH-TV since April 2014. This Midwestern gal grew up in Michigan, traveled the country as her career progressed, and finally found herself in Avon.

Kiddos …

Graham and Everett. Ages 1 and 3.

Little Known Facts …

No matter what I'm involved in, I've always been a go-getter. I'm a perfectionist to a fault. I grew up as a competitive dancer in Michigan and spent at least 20 hours a week in a dance studio for many years. I also competed in pageants, which provoked my interest in public speaking and current events. When it was time for college, I still didn't know which direction I wanted to go for my career, so I double-majored in dance and broadcast journalism at Columbia College Chicago.

Places Her Career Has Taken Her …

Joplin, Missouri (where she met her husband!)

Fayetteville, Arkansas

Monroe, Louisiana (home of Duck Dynasty!)

Why She Chose Avon to Raise a Family …

We really picked Avon on a whim during a whirlwind house-shopping trip. We loved the community-feel we immediately recognized in Avon and appreciated the proximity to the city. It has been a perfect fit for our family.

On Lou Ferrigno (a.k.a. “The Incredible Hulk”) telling all of Indianapolis she was pregnant …

Oh, my goodness! What an experience. Meeting Lou Ferrigno made for a really fun morning that February day (2015). He was really sweet and interested in my life and career, so we had a great conversation. I told him I had one son and confided in him that another was on the way. Well, during our live shot, he unexpectedly said something along the lines of "And congrats on the baby." and touched my stomach. My co-workers, who are some of my closest friends knew about it, but we had not announced it yet. It became a huge social media sensation and surely made for a fun memory.

What her children have taught her about life…

Graham and Everett have taught me how to unplug and really live in the moment. I can't wait to see what God has in store for the future of our family!
